Amy Van Gessel ’14, employed with MacDonald & Mack Architects, served on the design team for the renovation of the Arvonne Fraser Library of Hennepin County (Minn.), which has received numerous awards. The library, built in 1962, reopened in January 2019, following a yearlong renovation. Amy received a master of architecture and a master of science in heritage preservation and conservation from the College of Design at the University of Minnesota, where Amy is also an adjunct instructor.
