Amy Van Gessel ’14 recently received the 2017-2018 Architectural Research Centers’ Consortium King Medal for Student Research for her work in the Heritage and Conservation Program at the University of Minnesota-College of Design. Amy’s research was entitled Modernistic Facelifts: Façade Recladding in Downtown St. Louis During the Post-WWII era. Amy is employed at MacDonald & Mack Architects in Minneapolis, Minn. She is also an adjunct instructor in the School of Architecture at the University of Minnesota.
