Keith G. Updike ’84, President – Class of 1984 died suddenly on February 17th, 2021. Beloved husband of Karen Jorgensen Updike ’83, Keith’s friendly demeanor and infectious humor stood out in any crowd. Keith earned his B.B.A in Accounting & Management, played JV and Varsity Bulldog basketball, was a Resident Assistant in Estes Hall, and an officer in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Keith worked for General Motors at Inland Fisher Guide Manufacturing (later Delphi Interior & Lighting) while securing his M.B. A. in Operations Management from the University of Toledo (’89). In 1997, he was transferred to Monroe, LA as Manufacturing Manager. When Guide Corporation purchased the business (1998), Keith was promoted to Plant Manager of its facility in Anderson, IN, and again moved his family. He later led 6 manufacturing facilities from Jackson, TN as Vice President of Operations for Siegel-Robert, Inc. (2004) and then made his final two moves to Franklin, TN (2010) and Canton, MI (2016) while working as a Managing Director for BBK, Ltd. and KPMG respectively.
