James Ward ’69, a resident of Norfolk, Mass., and former professor of political science at the University of Massachusetts Boston, died May 2, 2021. He received a master’s degree from the University of Michigan, and his Ph.D. from Harvard University, where he won the Bowen essay prize for political philosophy . He was the author of two books and a lifetime member of the Norfolk Lions Club. Survivors include his wife, Barbara, a daughter and a son.
